Monday, May3rd – Business Meeting/Workshop : Web Solutions for Artists -Navigating the Internet
Julie Ray is the owner of Julie Ray Creative, a design and communications company, and last year’s recipient of the Arizona Daily Star’s 40 Under 40 award. Julie will educate us on amazing, low-cost opportunity for artist self-promotion. This presentation will help artists navigate the many options for building and maintaining an internet presence, from free blogs to hosted content management systems, and evaluate each option based on the individual’s budget and technical savvy.
Meetings begin with a potluck; please bring a dish to share! (1st Monday every month) 6:00pm-8:30pm.

Arts Marketplace is proud to announce the first Annual Arts Marketplace Gallery exhibit, “New Beginnings”. This show features artwork of various media by member artists and creative entrepreneurs. The exhibit Opens January 28 and runs through March 5.

Exhibit Opening and artist reception: Thursday, January 28, 2010, 6:30-8 pm

Location: Arts Marketplace Gallery, 40 West Broadway in the Historic CO Brown House (on Broadway between Church and Stone).

Monday, September 7 – Arts Marketplace 2009/2010 Planning Session

Help create the future of Arts Marketplace! Come and contribute your ideas, thoughts and energy to the

Arts Marketplace 2009 Planning Session for members on Monday, September 7^th from 6:00-8:30 pm at Community Storytelling Arts Studio, 40 West Broadway. This is a great opportunity to share our programming plans for 2009/2010. You will also get a chance to forge new relationships and renew old acquaintances with Arts Marketplace staff and members. Most importantly you will participate in creating the future of an arts program that is here to serve you! Let’s work together to make 2009/2010 a year of success for your artistic endeavors and for creative entrepreneurs. The meeting begins with a potluck, so bring a dish to share. Friday, September 18^th “Member Placeholder”

If during the member meetings a topic comes up that members wish to explore in more depth there is a designated day/time for a meeting. If there is a member in the program that can address the “hot” topic they are asked to lead (developing leadership skills) the meeting. If no member is available, the meeting is conducted as an “Open Forum” so that members can bring their own issues about this topic to “the table.” On Friday, September 18^th, from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Community Storytelling Arts Studio, 40 West Broadway.
